Mother's Day Rocks!

I set some of yesterdays goodies out to sort of live with them for a bit to get a feel for where I want to put them. I took some pictures because I have absolutely no eye for that kind of thing, so I figured I would post here begging for help.

I have decided that the middle sized picture ($4.99) will go into the guest/boys bathroom with the rug it is all sitting on ($2.99), the towel holder thing ($1.99), possibly the candle and holder (25¢) with the glass hurricane over it (25¢) and a shower curtain made from the chenille bedspread (50¢) tea dyed. I think. Opinions, please?

The brown fabric in the back ($1.99) should be enough to recover six seat cushions and possibly make a chandelier cord cover.

The six small plates are now a lonely five. They were sitting out and Christian ran in to tell me something - promptly dropping a big stick on top of them. A few things happened. 1) I rethought the glass hurricane over the candle for their bathroom 2) I wondered why the heck he had a stick, never mind bringing it into the house 3) he apologized profusely and 4) I managed to not lose my cool. He kept apologizing and saying it was an accident, that he just dropped it. Before I could say anything he said "I probably shouldn't have brought a stick in, huh?" I just said "It's ok. I know it was an accident. Please go back outside." I was not going to be the mom that blows up at her kid on Mother's Day!

The boys did all of their chores without having to be asked (which with the exception of Alex is what usually happens) and have been working together and playing together all day. It is almost creepy how well they are getting along.

The rest of the day has been great. We called my grandma earlier, but was only able to talk for a few minutes. It seems that no matter what time I call, they are getting ready for a meal. Who the heck eats dinner at 2pm?

The boys were able to talk to my mom and Marty's mom, so all Mother's day wishes have been sent. Tonight we will grill out and watch a girly movie.

Hope your Mother's Day was as great as mine!
